Artuur is from the planet Corellia. His father was a shipbuilder who worked at the Santhe Shipyards. Artuur was not very close to his father and didn’t want to spend his entire life trapped on Corellia so he left home at an early age by sneaking onto an Imperial transport.
Things didn’t go well at first and he had to undergo various indignities and unsavoury jobs until he was taken on as an apprentice by a Bounty Hunter. Eventually Artuur would outshine even his Master and go on to become Grand Champion of the Great Hunt.
And of course during the Great Hunt he would meet Torian Cadera who would become very important to him but that’s another story!
